Corporate and Project Management

The Company’s Managers listed here are responsible for day-to-day Company governance and oversight of all project work:

  • Scott Rifkin holds bachelors and masters degrees in Environmental Economics from Bucknell University and Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering respectively. Rifkin has 27 years of experience in the field. He is a Project Manager and the current President of GSE.
  •  William Montley, C.H.M.M., C.I.E. holds an associates degree in Architecture Engineering Design from Catonsville Community College and a bachelors degree in Architecture from the Catholic University. Montley has 30 years in the field and is a registered Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (Cert. No. 07638) and a registered Certified Indoor Environmentalist (Cert. No. 01740). Montley is a Project Manager and the Director of the Company’s Industrial Hygiene Services group.
  • Gregory J. Mentel, P.E., P.G. holds a bachelors degree from University of Rochester in Geomechanics, a masters degree from Michigan Technological University in Geological Engineering and an MBA in Finance from University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business. Mentel has 27 years in the field and holds the following professional designations: Professional Engineer (Civil), District of Columbia (License No. PE905107), Professional Engineer (Civil), State of Maryland (License No. 21814) and Professional Geologist, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (License No. PG-002013-G). Mental is a Project Manager and the Director of the Company’s Environmental Investigation and Engineering Group.
  • Jessica Bennett, P.E. holds bachelors and masters degrees in Environmental Engineering from Drexel University. She has nearly 10 years of experience in the field and is a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (License No. PE085049). Bennett is a Project Manager for the Environmental Investigation and Engineering Services Group. She also acts as the Company’s Safety and QA/QC Officer.
  • Brett Kilczewski holds an associates degree in Environmental Science from Harford Community College and a bachelors degree in Environmental Science from Towson University. Kilczewski has nearly 5 years of experience. He is a Project Manager for the Industrial Hygiene Group as well as Technical Lead on Radon and Maryland’s Lead Poisoning Prevention Program.
